Wishing you a lovely weekend. And since we have our Manhattans on Saturday evening, I start with a picture of them.
.
Although I love to see lots of pretty little things, on kitchen counters, on Instagram... My own kitchen counters are kept very, very spare. My husband, the "Resident Chef," likes a kitchen, like this. We both like it, this way. My one nod to 'pretty,' and not necessary, is the little ambiance lamp he made for me. :-)

But our Hearth Room......

OK, you just thought of something interesting to post about. Everyone loves to see bits of their blog friend's homes, Tessa. I'm with you on the kitchen - I don't like a lot of stuff on the countertops. It gets too busy while cooking. Your cabinets are a pretty color. And your hearth room is charming. I always love to see that stained glass lamp. The Manhattan's sure do look good.
A happy weekend to you, Tessa.

That little kitchen light is a favorite of mine and just right for your kitchen. There is nothing like a little lamp on in the kitchen to make it feel warm. I love your wallpaper. it's so cheery. Your hearth room looks like a comfortable place to be during this cold spring. I can see you curled up there with your book. Enjoy your weekend. I hope the snow that came to us last night doesn't blow your way.
I don't like too much on top of the kitchen surfaces ... you need room to cook and then clear away until next time.
Your hearth room looks cosy and warm, especially with those fairy lights.
The Manhattans look very inviting ... thank you.
Happy Weekend Wishes
All the best Jan
Looks very cosy. I love a lamp.
I also like the look of those drinks! Happy weekend.
I wish i could be as restrained as you with our kitchen, I love to see uncluttered counters, but with two teens and a messy chef of a husband it's not meant to be. I'll just have to admire yours!
Have a wonderful weekend dear Tessa x
P.S love the fairy lights!
Cheers to you, Tessa! Lovely Manhattans are ready for you to celebrate a wonderful weekend. I admire your clean look on the kitchen counter top. You are lucky to have a resident chef! Enjoy! ♥
Very cozy room. Our whole home is a big cluttered mess. I really must get a handle on things one of these days. Why the reservations about Dubai? When you live in a backwards country like Kuwait, believe me, Dubai is a breath of fresh air. It's highly organized and efficient. Totally lacking here. And seeing people from all around the world is really nice because everyone is just there to enjoy the moment, they don't care what anyone else is doing. Kuwait is like living in a fishbowl. I'm always happy to get away, even for a couple of days.
I prefer an uncluttered kitchen counter, but I find that I use some things so often, it wouldn't make sense to put them away (blender for smoothies, toaster, soap, Keurig, bread box...) Your hearth room looks lovely and cozy. -Jenn
Hi Tessa! Your blog is just lovely...the flowers in your header are just glorious! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving your kind comments. I probably have too many things on my counter tops but I haven't quite gotten to the place where I want it stark either...I do have a tendency to keep my "stuff" where I can see it. I also love little accent lamps and I have them many places throughout the house. Your hearth room looks SO warms and cozy and filled with many of your favorite things, no doubt! I hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Now what's not to love? I certainly do admire and nice and tidy kitchen...no clutter...love the color of your countertops! And...your hearth room...so warm, cozy and inviting...a place to unwind! Beautiful Tessa!!! I LUV Manhattans...so sophisticated!
A gorgeous Living Room, i love the Lights and the warm Colours :)
Also your Kitchen looks perfect, clean, not a lot of Stuff ... and the beautiful Flower Print on the Wall. Thank you for Sharing the Photos with us :)
lovely Greetings!
