This and that and Summer Solstice coming....

Perfect summer sky...
.
Perfect summer breakfast accompaniment...
.
"Grands'" kitty, next door...
.
Discovered this one little flower, blooming between steps into the pool area.  It had to have seeded itself.  :-)
.
I so love the color combination of my petunias in pots, on back patio....
.
(I apologize for the too-large-horizontal photos below)
.
And now we begin a series of photos, of the water flowing and bubbling, from the little bird bath fountain, into the little pond.

(And the horizontal photos are too long.  I apologize.)
I know!   "Over kill"!!!  ,-)  Too many pics of water and bubbles.   ,-)
.
But ...   Just scroll down, if you want to.  :-))))
.
.
There!!!!   Those are done!!!!

And now, I am excited about the fact that the Summer Solstice (in the Northern Hemisphere) and the Full Strawberry Moon, coincide on this coming Monday!!!!
.
I love to celebrate seasonal changes.  And also love the Full Moons.  So this will be a very special day/night.  :-)

If anyone is looking for me..... :-))) (and addition)

It's official!  I am again living in "Sleeping Beauty's Castle"!  See all those vines, on the pool fence?  Of course you see them.  ,-)  Well, don't they look like the over-growth in "Sleeping Beauty's Castle"????
.
And though once I did not like the "Sleeping Beauty's Castle" effect...  Now I welcome it!!!!
.
With stress bombarding both my husband and I, from every side...  For our own sanity/health, we need to withdraw into our little plot of land.  Into our wild and cultivated flowers.  Into the peace we can make, for each other.  While the world, tries to implode....  And things closer to home, can try to disrupt us, too.
.
I can't take any of it, anymore.  And I don't think he can, either.  Although he does a better job of being wise, and not letting things "get-to-him", than I do.  But when "things- get-to-me,"  it does not make life easy, for him.
.
So, that's it.  I declare an End!  To accepting into my mind, any/all which would make me sick, in mind and in body.  If I don't do it, who will?
.
So, if anyone is looking for me.....  :-)  I will be inside my  quiet, peaceful, flower laden, whispering breezes blowing, bees buzzing, waving leaves on trees BUBBLE.
.
Perhaps I can't even watch The Mets games!  I get too invested in win/loss.  ,-))))))))
.
.
.
With wishes for you Dear Readers, to find your Peace. Hugs....   And Love.....

.ADDITION.
I am not leaving blogging or IG.
I am disciplining myself to leave behind,
all angst, which I can not personally change.

I love a wildflower meadow.... :-)

A photo of my husband's old Chevy truck, taken across a wild flower meadow.  It's not really a meadow.  It's just the front perennial garden.  I love it this way!  It is like a meadow of wild flowers.  Nothing better, in my estimation.
.
The first peony to emerge...  Quite delightful, peeking out from the surrounding Queen Anne's Lace.
.
Just my silly curtain, made to cover an ugly old shade.  :-)  It's not that lovely...  Needed to be fuller.... But it's fun, for now.  :-)

Yes..... Today... I blog......

Yes, I am furious, that my fellow citizens, were slaughtered, by a Radical Islamic Terrorist Sympathizer, simply for being who they are.
.
But I will not let ISIS change my way of life.
.
My way of life, includes blogging.   And so, today, I blog.
.
By showing a  photo of one of our "Old Roses".  The name of this "Old Rose," is "Joseph's Coat Of Many Colors."  I feel that this is quite appropriate.
.
I do not follow their way of life.  But they are my fellow citizens.  And there was no reason, for them to be slaughtered, than for any other of my fellow citizens, to be slaughtered.

Happy, happy, happy........

.I've been a bit 'down'...  The last few hours...   Silly me, I know...  Nothing really, to be 'down' about.
.
But just now, I found that an awaited blog, has begun posting again.  And I am so happy.  :-))))
.
And I'd love to share the name and link of this lovely blog, with you.  I actually have done so before.  But she wasn't back to posting, then.  And now she is!!!!   Happy day!
.
Please take a minute, to use this link, and pop over and take a peek.  You won't be disappointed.
.
.
.
.

WHERE do they post the "Rules"???? ,-))))

.
Have you been to a gathering of teens, of late?  Teen age girls, that is.  I don't know much about the "In Boy Look"...   But the teen girls...   Is there a memo, which goes out?  Giving "The Rules Of The Day"...  For hair style and length of skirt?  Because it certainly looks that way.  In a very unscientific survey, that is.  ,-)
.
Hair:  Must be long!  Must be long and stick straight!  Matters not, if the girl has hair, which looks best this way.  If a girl has thick hair, it will look nice, natural or straightened.  But if a girl has thin, thin hair, it will look simply like thin, thin straight hair.  And would often look better, and make her look better, when it is very softly curled or turned.

But NO!  Seems there is a memo, that all hair must be long and straightened!
.
Dress Length:  Must-be-short!  Here again, it doesn't matter what kind of legs, a girl has.  It's common sense that nature does not hand out long, (the present idea of) shapely legs, to every girl.   It simply doesn't happen.   Some legs are short, and/or far from (the present idea of) shapely.  But no matter!  All teen age girls, regardless of the natural shape of their body, must wear short skirts.
.
I wonder where the memos are posted?  On some form of Social Media of course.   Silly me...    ,-))))

In the interest of spreading MOSQUITO INFORMATION..... >,-)

Source of all
  1. Only Female Mosquitoes Bite
There are about 3,500 species of the little vampires, and they can be found in virtually every part of the world. But not all mosquitoes look upon you as a delicious meal. While both male and female mosquitoes feed on nectar and plant sap as their nutrition source, only female mosquitoes need blood for egg production.
    .
  2. Mosquitoes Prefer Darker Colors
Black might be slimming, but if you're trying to avoid mosquitoes, best to opt for lighter-colored clothing as they can be attracted to darker colors.
    .
  3. Mosquitoes Do Prefer to Bite Some People Over Others
If you keep getting bit while those around you don’t, it may be because the flying pests are attracted to the body chemistry of some people over others. Chemicals such as carbon dioxide, which is emitted when you breathe out, and lactic acid, an element found in sweat, attract mosquitoes.
    .
  4. A Full Moon Makes Mosquitoes More Active
Werewolves, zombies… and mosquitoes? Yep, the full moon can be blamed for many strange occurrences both real and imagined. Scientists have never actually seen a real-life zombie, but they do know mosquitoes exist— and that a full moon can increase mosquito activity 500 percent!
    .
  5. Mosquitoes Need Only One Tablespoon of Water to Breed
Mosquitoes prefer to lay their eggs in still or stagnant water or wet earth, and they only require a small bit of water to do so. In fact, for development, the immature stages of some types of mosquitoes only need a tablespoon of water to breed, an amount that can easily collect in old tires, children's wading pools, holes in trees, bird baths, saucers underneath plants—even a bottle cap.

Can you enjoy being outside, in summer...???????????

I'm so happy for all who can go out and enjoy Summer!  As,  I can't.

I walk out a door. And a signal goes out, to every flying/biting/stinging winged insect, in a 3 mile surrounding area. SHE-IS-OUT... -sigh-
.
My husband and others, can sit outside and enjoy. Telling me "There are no bugs around."  Hahhhhhhhhh!!! That may well be true, for them. But not for me! My son-in-law is the same way, so it's not just me.
.
No, I do not go out, sprayed in flowery perfume! -sigh- I guess that simply "How-I-Smell-To-Them", is aphrodisiac enough.
.
Enjoy!   Enjoy!   Enjoy ! And Enjoy being outside in Summer,  some more, for me!!!!!

THANK YOU......!!!!!!

...
D-Day, June 6, 1944

"General Dwight D. Eisenhower gives the order of the Day. "Full victory - nothing else" to paratroopers in England on June 6, 1944, just before they board their airplanes to participate in the first assault in the invasion of the continent of Europe. All of the men with General Eisenhower are members of Company E, 502d."
.......
 .
"U.S. Rangers on a troop ship in an English port waiting for the signal to sail to the coast of Normandy. Clockwise, starting from far left, is First Sergeant Sandy Martin, who was killed during the landing, Technician Fifth Grade Joseph Markovich, Corporal John Loshiavo, and at bottom, Private First Class Frank E. Lockwood."
.
.......

"While under attack of heavy machine gun fire from the German coastal defense forces, American soldiers wade ashore off the ramp of a U.S. Coast Guard landing craft, during the Allied landing operations at Normandy, France on D-Day, June 6, 1944."

.......
"...June 6, 1944, D-Day invasion of Normandy, Allied forces took the fight to the Axis powers in many locations across Western Europe."
.......

"Some of the first assault troops to hit the beachhead in Normandy, France take cover behind enemy obstacles to fire on German forces as others follow the first tanks plunging through the water towards the German-held shore on June 6, 1944."  (When my husband was in the Army Reserve (1950's), he served with a Sargent, who survived this, as he said; "by running behind a tank.")

.......
"...on D-Day, the largest amphibious invasion in history took place. Nearly 200,000 Allied troops boarded 7,000 ships and more than 3,000 aircraft and headed toward Normandy."
.......
"Members of an American landing party help others whose landing craft was sunk by enemy action of the coast of France. These survivors reached Omaha Beach by using a life raft on June 6, 1944."
.......

"American soldiers on Omaha Beach recover the dead after the June 6, 1944, D-Day invasion of France."
.......
"American dead lie in a French field, a short distance from the allied beachhead in France on June 20, 1944."
.........................

All gave some,
Some gave all.

Thank you.
