Another accomplishment... :-)))

I finally made a "skirt" to cover my lamp shade!!!!
:-)
.
Sorry about the "tilt" of the shade.
It is an old lamp and it "tilts"...
.
I used to be embarrassed about this.
And then I saw beautiful old lamp shades, on Instagram.
Which proudly "tilted."  :-)
Soooo...  Now I am no longer embarrassed.  :-)
.
How silly of me!
Needing someone else's validation.
For a silly little thing, like a tilting lamp.
.
I easily follow my own mind, on big things!
.
But not on this tiny thing.
:-)

of her garments shaken...
Silent, and soft, and slow
Descends the snow."
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

How darling! I love the fabric and the way it is made. Great job, Tessa. I don't mind the tilt at all.

Oh how cute, Tessa. The material looks like it matches your couch. You did a nice job. And I am still lovin' that pink frosted rose on your Header. I'm off to check out some of those old lamp shades on instagram. :)

I'm so glad you're back, Tessa. Your posts really do make me smile. They are some of my favorite in blog land.

now that's so cool.

I'm one of those people who go about straightening lamps and pictures.
and yet...
I fall in love over and over again with little english cottages where the lampshades are purposely tilted by a cozy chair... so you can read the book easier while having your tea.
I even saw a grand manor house where the shades were ever so slightly tilted. charming.
i'd say you're in good company dearest bean! XO♥
and no... i'm not commenting because I feel I have to! LOLOLOL!
I ditto sheri's last line above.

Oh, such pretty fabric made into a lovely lampshade! The older I get, the more I try to leave that perfection thing to others! Great job on the lampshade! I love the beautiful clock I spy. ♥
